The Paul Brown Happuna Beach Salon, is located on the west or Kona Coast of the island of Hawaii. (The island of Hawaii also called the Big Island - so the island will not be confused with the state). Water from snow and rain travel through ancient lava tubes, within the Mauna Kea Volcano, eventually forming artesian wells that are rich in minerals, proteins and moisture-giving life. This legendary water is thought to create a perfectly balanced ecosystem. During ancient times, only the Hawaiian royalty were permitted to bathe in, or drink the waters, which were believed to be sacred with a life force. Paul Brown recognized that combining the natural benefits of Hapuna waters, with the other natural benefits found in the Hawaii.
